Vanguard Rheumatology Partners is a single-specialty practice dedicated to arthritis, soft tissue rheumatic disorders, systemic autoimmune diseases, and osteoporosis. Serving the Mount Sinai community since 2004, we offer a host of comprehensive services, both in the outpatient and inpatient setting. Our board-certified rheumatologists have a broad-range of subspecialty interests, including such conditions as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, gout, lupus, and vasculitis. Apart from their clinical interests, our physicians are actively engaged in the Mount Sinai internal medicine residency program, teaching residents and medical students alike, both in the hospital and office settings. Our practice also staffs the Mount Sinai Arthritis Clinic, where there is an additional opportunity to help an underserved population.
While offering the convenience of in-office services, such as laboratory, bone densitometry, musculoskeletal ultrasonography, and infusion suite, Vanguard Rheumatology Partners leverages the technology and professional resources of Mount Sinai Medical Center to deliver state-of-the-art rheumatologic care. From plain radiography to advanced musculoskeletal imaging modalities, such as MRI and PET, patients have ready access to any imaging service required to help confirm a diagnosis or monitor response to treatment.
When specialty care outside the scope of rheumatology is needed, patients have access to a wide range of specialists at Mount Sinai, including such specialties as orthopedics, physiatry, pain management, neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, pulmonology, nephrology, and hematology. For patients with pulmonary hypertension associated with or independent of connective tissue disorders, Mount Sinai offers a comprehensive pulmonary hypertension program. Outpatient rehabilitation services are similarly available right on campus, adding to the range of comprehensive services available to our patients.
