Mount Sinai Medical Center

Vanguard Rheumatology Partners is proud to call Mount Sinai Medical Center its home. Founded in 1949, Mount Sinai Medical Center is the largest private independent not-for-profit teaching hospital in South Florida. Mount Sinai Medical Center offers a spectrum of clinical resources that can only be found in a major teaching hospital, including comprehensive specialty services in such broad disciplines as cardiology, oncology, neuroscience, orthopedics, and radiology. Vanguard Rheumatology Partners works together with Mount Sinai Medical Center to deliver state-of-the-art rheumatologic care, both in the outpatient and inpatient setting.

A Mission to Teach

Vanguard Rheumatology Partners fulfills its mission to teach and train young physicians at Mount Sinai Medical Center. Interns and residents of the Internal Medicine training program rotate through our practice to learn basic and advanced principles of rheumatologic care, and assist our rheumatologists in evaluating patients admitted to the hospital. Interns and residents of the training program also staff the monthly Mount Sinai Arthritis Clinic, which is run by one of our rheumatologists, Dr. Carlos Sesin. Our rheumatologists provide didactic teaching by way of a housestaff lecture series that is programmed throughout the academic year, and by Grand Rounds lectures to the general medical staff.
